Dr. Lynda
Mandell is a board certified psychiatrist. She treats adults of all ages and adolescents. In her practice,
she deals with all types of psychiatric issues and disorders and treats each patient with an indivually prescribed management
plan designed to meet his/her own particular needs, i.e. prescribing and monitoring medications when clinically
appropriate and/or psychotherapy(talk therapy). She is trained in all types of talk therapies with a particular
interest and expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Mandell believes strongly in the importance of psychodynamic psychotherapy in the overall treatment plan, spending
time with her patients to get to know them, their backgrounds, their significant others and their daily life stressors. Accordingly, she
provides, as clinically indicated, individual (e.g. Supportive, Interpersonal and Cognitive
Behavioral Therapy) as well as group/couples/family therapy in managing her patients. In addition, when medically
indicated for emotional and distress stabilization, she precribes and closely monitors psychotropic medications
(e.g., antidepressants, mood stabilizers, anti-anxiety, psychostimulants and sleep aids).
Dr. Mandell is also
a board certified radiation oncologist in addition to being a board certified psychiatrist which has allowed her
a deeper appreciation of and respect for the importance of dealing with the whole individual and not just a disorder.

is fluent in Spanish. She maintains medical licenses in the states of New York, New Jersey and Florida.
